The more I crave a big-cc, high compression, torque monster V-twin superbike.
a KTM RC8 R
a EBR 1190 RX
ducat 1198
or maybe something a little more classic.
honda RC51
Suzuki TL1000R
aprilia RSV1000

I mean, no one is going to blame you. I’ll take an 899 or whatever the name of the newest one is. My R6 is still fast enough for me, I can only imagine what I’d do on a 1000 or bigger.....

I like the Aprilia. Now that I’m over the hump with the wedding expenses I’m all over a new bike. Hoping to find one of these used closer to the end of the riding season. If not I hope to get a decent deal on a new one in the spring!

I drove a TL1000S for a while. I loved and feared the feeling of front wheel coming up when shifting from 1st to 2nd. I loved that it moved without revving the crap out of it. I also preferred how it felt closer to red line than my friends GSX-R 1000. Gixxer just felt like it wanted to kill me. TL felt good. I miss it...traded it for my ex-wife’s first car. What a bad decision.

I’d love to take a superduke and clad it in RC8 panels

Is the 1098/1198 still the most beautiful bike ever made? I think so...
I want one bad but I lack the habilities/balls to actually have one.
The RSV Mille is not that powerful, though it’s impossible to find one in Mexico... :(
Twins are hella awesome though

Big V-twin sportbikes are a riot, but the big downside is that you can’t ride them hard unless you like the jail/death potential. I tend to put that in the back of my mind when I ride my 1125CR though. It can be bipolar and frantic. Half laughing my ass off and half scared to death. Pinning the throttle is a rocket-fueled adrenaline rush, while the cold sweat of fear and anxiety swims out your pores.
It’s a fucking rush to ride it hard. When my wife is on the back, she’s either laughing her ass off at the insanity of it all or death gripping me in pure fear. We’ve had all the fun on it and we’ll both miss it. Anyone want a good deal on a CR lol?
RC51s are a lot of fun to ride and have quite the following, so if you’re going classic, go that way. Regardless of what you pick up, I think you should get one. Everyone should own a 1000+cc V-twin sportbike at some point. It’s a riot and you won’t forget it!

they are fun. We just dyno tuned one at the shop. Big bore kit, bigger injector, better valves, stand alone ecu. it was cool

As an owner of a Suzuki tl1000 with 1 of 1 custom hmf pipe, YES. They are all powerful enough. The big 500cc per cylinder sound is perfection.
